A Short Biography of Ms. Strickland What college did you attend? "Morgan State University" How long have you taught? "Many years (25 years)" How long have you taught at Francis Scott Key? "12 years" What art project was your favorite? "The pig tales were my favorite." What made you want to teach art? "I was inspired by a group of children during my internship at the Baltimore Museum of Art at the age of 19 years."

Many talented students are educated at Francis Scott Key Technology/Magnet School in the subject of art, by Ms. Strickland. Every year students come and leave as more talented and experienced young artists. With the sponsorship of the National Museum of Ceramic Arts, Francis Scott Key has developed a strong program that enables students in all grades to explore and develop skills in ceramic art.
