We are a special education program designed to service students with intellectual limitations. We follow a life skills curriculum geared toward preparing students for their lives outside of school.
We participate in the Alternate-Maryland School Assessment (ALT-MSA). This testing program is designed for students with significant cognitive disabilities, assessing a student's attainment of reading and mathematics mastery objectives.
We accept up to eight middle school age students per year at the sixth, seventh and eighth grade level. The MOIL Program is new to FSK and will continue to accept students as community need arises.
Our Team
We believe that a team approach is the most effective way to facilitate the growth of our students. Our team is made up of academic professionals, parents and students.
We are convinced that parents know and understand their children better than anyone else. This is why parents are important members of our team. We regard their input and participation as critical to the success of their child.
